SIA to put A380 on its Tokyo route from May 20

SINGAPORE : Singapore Airlines (SIA) will start commercial service of the A380 on its Tokyo route from May 20.
Tokyo will become the fourth city in the world to start operating A380 commercial flights - after Singapore, Sydney and London.
The news comes just a week before SIA launches its inaugural A380 flight to London on March 18.
The carrier will start with a specially scheduled first flight to coincide with Narita Airport's 30th anniversary celebrations. Thereafter, it will commence daily return flights to Tokyo's Narita on the A380.
Singapore Airlines currently has three A380s in service, another 16 on firm order and options on six more. - CNA /ls
