Hihi..am thinking of getting an extra batt for my D60. shld I get a third party batt or original one? Or up to me as there is no different at all? Any one use Phottix batt before? Is it good?
Emm..in short, original batt is the best? rite? Phottix selling at a price of $24 and original batt from CP is $60. Think wat I get is wat I pay for...I can't expect too much from a 3party batt
I am using a phottix for my D80 in addition to the original battery. Must say that it does not hold the charge as well as the original. Also, in storage, the phottix loses its charge fairly quickly and the original still shows full bar after storage of the same length.
I dont see any problems with third party batts except that occasionally the cam controls will "hang". ....
Just for ur info thats all, dont panic : )
Just to share with u my experience, i'm using a phottix battery grip, so obviously i'll need two batteries. and since the price of third party batts are good, i use one original and one third party batt.
I dont see any problems with third party batts except that occasionally the cam controls will "hang". Not really "hang" just that i cannot control the apeture and shutter settings using the dial. I used to panic when this happens.
But the problem will be solved when i remove the battery grip, and jus use the camera as it is with one battery.
For you, i guess this shouldnt happen to u as i dont encounter camera getting "hang" when i use third party battery without battery grip.

yeah... you're right. It might seem like 100% more, but if in real dollars it's $30 - $40 then I think that's an acceptable price difference if indeed the quality is better.if in doubt, just use the original . . .
why waste that bit when you have already spent so much on the camera and lenses . . .
