woahh, first dslr get 7D? envioussss 
practice at home! if you're new to dslr photography. esp in the mornings/evenings, the light is beautiful and tricky to work with. make everyday objects interesting by playing with bokeh etc. photography is ultimately something we do for fun, right? (unless you're a pro, but then you would have chosen you job for a reason)
