Dear All,

I had tried my hand at macro shots over the weekend at my place and these 2 pictures are what I have to show. I was using a +4 close up filter.

Questions which i have for the seniors and experienced are

1) Do I need to get a higher + filter like +10 to get real close up. I remember reading somewhere in the forums there a close up filter can't be attached to the front of the teleconverter as there is no filter threads for it and i think someone mentioned that it will not come to focus as well even if you are able to attach a close up filter infront of a teleconverter. Please advise

2) The focussing distance with a close up filter is ~25cm right?

3) How do you guys get so close up to these insects. Do you zoom in digitally in photoshop and crop?

Thanks :bsmilie: in advance for any tips and comments.

Hi

Thanks for the link Falcon...

SuperRay:

Do you mean you stack at +2 and +4 close up filter. What do you mean when you state that you can go down more than 1:1. Will it be more advisable to get another close up filter, like what you have suggested a +3 or +2 or should I just get a higher + filter. Thanks

i stacked 3 +4 closeup so equal to +12 so i can get real close to the subject. Unless you have high optical zoom you dun need +2 get a +4 instead.
