was too excited and took the pictures without locking the exposures. used photovista trial version. tried panofactory too but photovista gave me better blending results.
why is it that the area near the edge of each frame is darker than the centre of the frames?
 

another thing is that i only overlapped about 10% of the frames which i now found out that the more i overlap the better are the results
 

its such a pity that i did not lock the exposures. now all the sections are obviously differently exposed.
the warped effect came about because the ground where i put the tripod on was not flat.

Right! I've read from this forum that someone recommend around 30% overlapping...
