Much fanfare has been made over the 45 minutes it took a craftsman to polish the machine milled block of solid aluminium. But that is for metal-working fans or sculptor wannabees to admire. Most camera users do not care.

Mind you the craftsman was just polishing. He did not mill the aluminium block by hand. That was still done by machines.

Oh please, we have multiaxis CNC machines and robotics polishing aerospace grade titanium alloy / titanium aluminide turbine blades and disks in just minutes. :bsmilie:

True. But if one pays $1 million for a Lambo & it runs slower than a Toyota, wont it be a laughing stock? Or a $50K watch is much less accurate (not matter of speed) & reliable in telling the time than a $20 Casio?

Erm, precisely.. mechanical watches are less accurate than the Casio Quartz thing.
