was reading this month's issue of HWZ magazine and saw a write up on this network storage device from Netgear from home use. so, went to netgear's site to check it out.

not bad, i must say. quite handy for backing up those huge image files, apart from using our normal CD/DVD media. has anyone seen this in the shops yet? suppose to have been out ard sept 05 period.

Try PK Computer in Funan; I think I saw it there last Friday. Price tag shows $228 or thereabouts.

There is one shop in SLS that has it too, quoted me $230. Off hand, I cannot remember the name, but it is one of the older shops, has a lot of networking products. I think the shop name has the word "media" or something like that  in the name

skf - thanks for the tip! mebbe will go visit PK and take a look-see one of these days. the price looks more reasonable and i do like the option of configuring the hdd to my needs. :)
