Need Expert advise on buying a new cam...

If u are looking for digicam then Panasonic FX9 is pretty good, if DSLR yr budget may only get a 2nd hand Canon D30, no lens.

Not sure what area of photography you intend to use the camera for, but you might want to consider the Fuji F10 which gives very usable pics even at high ISO. Or if you could wait, maybe you would like to wait for the Fuji F11 which is planned for launching in Nov.

i intend to use it fer general purpose..but at the same time intending to upgrade my skills in photography...of course must haf gd night shots n dae shots...i was considering ixus 750 panasonic dunno which one betta

Any particular features and functions that you're looking for? (e.g. size: compact/ultra compact, battery type: AA/Li-Ion, manual controls, etc) As it is now, we can't help you too much as we do not know your specific needs...
