Need advise on taking internal shooting.

Hi,
I am currently having a Olympus C5050 with 55mm Ultra wide angle lens but I encountered problems of capturing a wider angle. I have check with MS photo and some web-site, there is no other wider lens for C5050. I am using this camera to take panoramic images of interior design of properties. Any advice or is it necessary to get another Digital or Digital SLR. I still having problem capturing a wider view without taking 2 rows of images.

the 5050 is a good camera, I used to own one.
but 55mm Ultra wide lens?
Is this 3rd party?
If I am not wrong the oly conversion lenses are called WCON
you can try moving back and cropping the top and bottom of the pix
