You should go down to trusted shops and try out the computers before buying first...

I wouldn't recommend the Ferrari though. You pay like $500 just to hear the sound of the Ferrari when the laptop startsup. The rest is up to you, depends on your needs...

Can try Challenger as well as they offer extended warranty and free Chinese Star software for Member? Price wise is pretty competitive

Oh ya... before you buy... rem to think thru how you use the laptop etc.

If use extensively for travel, prob a light model with WiFi, if as desktop replacement, a bigger more robust model will be good, if for multimedia, a large screen or even powerbook will be useful.... think careful and compare.

Yep that's right. What's your main purpose of purchasing a laptop? Are you a Windows or Mac based?

can i suggest that u first do a check on the company's goodwill first.... then from there u can judge whether it'ld be wise to purchase online... anyway, like everyone else in the thread had suggested, it depends very much on wad u need the laptop to be capable of.

windows or mac?

graphics for gaming?

large HD?

big screen?

weight?

just some stuff to consider....
