What does theatre mean to visual artists? The Scenic Eye takes you into a vivid world of dialogue between two established art forms: theatre and visual arts. Curator Wolfgang Storch invited 19 of Germany’s most renowned contemporary artists to enter into an imaginary dialogue with the theatre as a medium. The resulting works are reflections on the interplay of elements of the theatre-directing, producing, acting, stage design, among others. The Scenic Eye exhibition is a visual and sensory feast of works ranging from paintings, sculpture, photography, drawing, video and mixed media installation.

We invite you to explore this exhibition and experience these aesthetic and contemplative dialogues through your own scenic eye.

For enquiries, please call the National Museum of Singapore at 6332 0115. This is the first preview season exhibition at the Museum. The Museum will be officially opened to the public in Dec this year.
