Merry Xmas to all... :D

Great shots esp. the first and 4th shots, melvynyeo. Good to see you enjoying macrophotography. Pls continue to post and inspire others.

Very nice nature shots. Just curious. What lens did you use? Is it a 1:1 macro magnification or it is heavily cropped?

very nice shots.

Thanks Falcon, Garion, philshots and macross. You guys are too kind :)

Hi Falcon, I am still very new to macrophotography and clubsnap has been my source of inspiration. Hope to learn more from the expert here :D

Hi philshots, the pictures are slightly crop to get rid of the distortion at the edges. Taken with Fuji 602Z and reverse minolta 50mm f1.7 except the grasshopper shot, with a +4 closeup filter.

Some more...

Well honestly, I never like bugs e.g. cockroach, especially those that can fly - this is one insect we can't wait to kill the moment we see one. Ladies who are afraid of them will all "run away" when they see one meters away :)

Your insect shots are very amazing closeUp . .. you use such swallow DOF to capture them in their where about so well. Even if I had all the macro lens, etc. I can't imagine myself going so near them to shoot ...

Thanks philshots :D To be frank, I'm the one that run away when I see the 'flying cockroach'. I'm ok with others bugs but flying cockroach kindda scare me. :bsmilie: Btw, the cockroach i shot is a small one :sweatsm: less than 1cm.

hi melvynyeo,

so what lens did you use to shoot such close-ups?

Very nice, detail and good exposure.

Look scary to see the world of small kingdom

nice marco shots there

Thanks megaweb, digipat2003 and nzmacro :)
