1. Add one reflector at the left.
2. Background make it black.

Your cooking stove will be more stand out!

1) I did add a reflector on the left, mayb dint bounce much light.
2) will try wif darker material..

Btw this cookin stove is for aromatherapy thingy.. Hahaha

it was a 4sec, f11 iso-200 shot..
the background i use is black, mayb is the material (it a anti-slip mat).. or the lighting is too strong. I placed it quite near the object..

even so, it is still unusually noisy (IMO) for this image size. Are you using compact?

Btw if it were me, I would use a wider angle and smaller f-number to get a similar DOF but shorter exposure time (hence less noise). But not sure is f11 was necessary in the first place?

For the background, black or white is ok.

Just control the lighting at the back, make sure it would not shine on the area that you want it in black.
In Chinese, also say "dark is deep, light is out" (深入浅出）。

As a photographer must know to control camera and light.
Control camera is easy but lighting is not.

For reflector at the left, make sure it show the texture at left of your cooking stove .

Nope, not using compact. I believe is the strong lighting n and the matt background that make it noisy..
as the background i uesd was a small small one, so I used 45mm focal length.

I should try more different setting for the shot n trial n error.. there more for me to learn :bsmilie:
