I'll be leaving for China tomorrow, will be bringing the following gear:
1) EOS 300D
2) EOS 50E
3) EFS 18-55
4) EF 50mm f1.8
5) 24-70 f2.8L
6) 550EX

Anyone can advise whether I should bring along my tripod (Manfrotto 719BLK/Manfrotto 190PROB) or Monopod (manfrotto)? Thinking of travelling light but not sure whether a monopod is stable enough for landscape shots.

Another question. What kind of films are recommended for normal shooting? I'm bringing 4 rolls of FUjifilm Superia 400, 1 roll Fujifilm Superia 200 and 1 roll Fujifilm Superia 800

My personal opinion : travel as light as you can. In your case, I'd probably leave both tripod & monopod at home, and perhaps one of the camera systems (probably the film body & L lens).

If you need something to rest the camera on, perhaps a small beanbag or towel will do the job just as well.

This is based on the fact that you are leaving tomorrow ... otherwise I'd recommend a light tripod, perhaps a Slik. I feel the Manfrotto is too heavy to lug around on a trip.

bring a small tripod. none of the lenses u mentioned need a monopod

try some slide film too

Flim camera with slide flims. Tripod is heavy and monopod is not much of help, I think.
