Monopod for video

Hi, i am buying my first monopod for video taking purpose for school hall stage performance.
My Setup will be a FF body with a 24-70 or 70-200 lens.

I have been looking around and find this monopod quite interesting.

Do you think this is over-kill for my applications?
I am not likely to use it often as well.
Any "good enough" suggestion?

There are some tripod which the legs can be detach n act as a monopod. Maybe can get there if u do not have a tripod.

If the 561BHDV-1 is too expensive for you, then just get a regular monopod.

The 561BHDV-1 is the de-facto standard for basic DSLR video stabilisation.

The price is ok. I believe in getting the best straight away instead of incremental painful experience. If really don't need it, I sell here at a discount lor ...

Can rent and try. I think is about $30 or less for 1 day from the camera rental center.
