Monopod design, an idea.

With normal monopod, it's likely to swing left & right even it's stable on vertical
position. What if I put a harpoon （inverted Y shape) on the bettom, then it will
not swing side ways. Is it a working idea?

Defeats the purpose of a monopod as 1 wants to pan left to right.. and vice versa.... not everyone wants to attach a pan-able head onto a monopod.

For some, they want the monopod to be able to move in all directions whenever the need calls for it.

I see. I thought monopod only intend to support the weight of cam & lens.
