Miniature Schnauzer X (crossbreed) portraits

Just some favourite shots of my 4yr old dog. Other than the first taken with Nikon 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5G, the rest were on 50mm 1.4.

Thanks to the lens. In fact the 50mm DOF was so shallow you can notice that in one shot the nose is sharper than the eyes

Cute cross here You might wanna try composing it such they the head/eyes are tno too centralized but more to the 1/3 lines. I'm guessing you used the center focus point in these images?

I had to compromise on the rule of thirds as I wanted to frame off background distractions and plonked her face mostly centred to pull attention. Using a prime also constrained my distance to subject in a limited home space - in other words, convenience :bsmilie:
