Microfication of Cinema

The Blackmagic Micro Cinema was launched over 2 years ago but did not gain as much traction as the Pocket Cinema largely due to it's ultra spartan design. But hark forward 2 years and a small community of fans have managed to build an eco-system around the bare "brain" of the Micro Cinema Camera so that it can now function much more ergonomically. Here are some of the best solutions out there:

Battery
The NPF Bridge allows the use of Sony NPF batteries directly onto the back of the Micro Cinema.

The SWIT S-8972 Sony NPF replacement battery powers can power both the Micro Cinema and a monitor at the same time via a clever DC output on the battery.

HDMI Monitor/EVF

The Cineroid EVF4CSE is an affordable 2-in-one flip-up option for checking focus and exposure using peaking and false color.
It will run off the Swit S8942 via DC output cable

Controller
The One-Little-Remote by One-Little-Goat makes the BMMCC much easier to operate and does not add much bulk to the unit at all.

Speetbooster

The Metabones EF-M43 speedbooster for BMPCC also works with the BMMCC, reducing the crop from 2.88x to 1.75x

Lenses

The 2.88x crop of the BMMCC used to mean that ultrawide lenses are hard to come by. But thanks to new entrants like Laowa's 7.5mm f2 M43 (effectively 21mm on the BMMCC) this issue is now moot.

For those who don't mind a little bit more heft, the Samyang 10mm T3.1 EF mount mated with the Metabones speedbooster gives a whopping 17.5mm angle!

The Micro Cinema Camera hasn't exactly caught on.. but I think it has its uses as a crash-cam or when you need multicam on a budget... In other news, Pocket 2 is coming on Monday!
