Hiii

My Metz 60CT4 flash is not in good condition. Thought of getting a new one. However the company already closed down. Is there a place in Singapore where I can get a compatible lead acid battery. I heard that Sim Lim Sqaure has, any one has any idea? Or is there anywhere else???

Thanksss

Cathy Photo is the local dealers for Metz, you may get it from them.

AFAIK, the batteries for Metz 60 series flash is unique size, you can't find any third party battery as replacement to fit into the battery compartment.

However, if you able to find any, do share here, as few of us still own the Metz 60 flash, will be very keen to know also, be it local or oversea.

There is still support for Metz in Singapore:

Tithes Marketing (S) Pte Ltd.
66 Tannery Lane
#04-01 Sindo Building
Singapore 347805

I send my Sekonic meter to repair one or two months back, did not see any Metz products on display, but just contacted Tithes, said they are the local agent for Metz.

tithe marketing has quite bad service. The last time John 3:16 ordered for me. Anyway those lead acid battery at sim lim TOWER will also work.

Actually, some people have bought the 3rd party ones (there is one by the name of Sigma). The thing they do is to use things like cork board or such to make the battery have a nice fit.

I know the 6V SLA battery works, but they don't fit into the compartment.

is this sigma battery 6V and 4.5Ah? able to fit into the compartment?

Hi Sykes,

If you find, please do let us know. ;-)

I tried the battery specialist on the 2nd floor of SLS and the (very nice and knowledgeable) lady told me that quite a few people have enquired before, but their generic batts cannot fit as the size is entirely different, and the connections are different as well.

Also, have a look at this old thread; it might provide a few ideas... http://forums.clubsnap.com/showthread.php?t=298546&highlight=metz+battery

CHEERS!
