As the consumer camera market goes into a death spiral, we can probably expect the same boring drip of updates next year.
For video shooters, a few improvements may be worth a look in 2019. These camera are not announced but many are ripe for updates.

Canon 80D mark 2
80D set the benchmark for video autofocus and touch AF in 2016
Stick to the original 80D unless:
the mark 2 has e-IBIS and focus peaking. Test the mark 2's mic port with a Y-cable to see if it's stereo or mono. Don't just read the spec sheet.
Don't hold your breath/shut-up and pay for:
uncropped 4K

Canon Powershot G3X mark 2
This is the only video oriented Superzoom that rivalled Pany FZX000 and Sony RX10. Yet the Canon G3X is much smaller and sexier.
Stick to the original G3X unless:
mark 2 has Dual Pixel Autofocus. Check that the Mark2 retains the headphone port and the stereo mic port
Don't hold your breath/shut-up and pay for:
4K
sensor IBIS

Canon M3/M5/6 mark 2
the M50 raised the bar for EOS-M line, making the earlier Ms less deserving of their single digit status.
Canon will likely either update the super old M3 or add 4K to the M5/6 in 2019 if they have time away from the R series.
Stick to the original M5/6 unless:
the Mark 2 has Dual Pixel AF that works in 4K
Don't hold your breath/shut-up and pay for:
Headphone port
stereo mic input, ( they are now MONO despite what the specsheet says)
onscreen VU meters,
5 axis IBIS
Uncropped 4K

C100 mark3 /XC20
Recent leaked patent suggests that Canon is unveiling a XC sized camera with interchangeable lens.
This could possibly be the X100 mk 3. Logically, it will have 4K recording in MP4 and C-log not unlike the XC15.
So stick to the Mark 2 unless mark 3 has touchscreen AF.
Don't hold your breath/shut-up and pay for:
120 fps 4K
10 bit 422 internal

Sony A7S III
The most anticipated camera for 2019 also means it could be the most DISSAPPOINTING.
All bets are off on this one given the numerous delays. Many are speculating some last ditched design overhaul but all things considered
Stick to the A7III unless:
The A7S III has 10bit 4K internal recording
Don't hold your breath/shut-up and pay for:
a full articulating LCD.
touchscreen menu

Sony RX10 mk V
This is long shot considering the Mk IV is still relatively new. So,
stick to the Mark 4 unless:
Mark 5 has a touchscreen menu.
HLG
Don't hold your breath/shut-up and pay for:
a full articulating LCD.

Sony RX100 mk 7
In view of the ever ballooning price tag of the RX100 range, sit out mk 7 and mk 8.
Mark 9 in 2021 could be worth the money if Mark 9 has:
mic port
headphone port
touchscreen menu
