Just checked manual. The 40 AF-4 N is fully compatible with F70.

at the Martin Road one, it was cash, NETS or Visa. not sure about the Nethyal Rd one...

Eug - yes the 40 AF-4 has only up/down for bounce, no left/right. Its a 28-80 zoom flash.
