u'r simple & clean composition works for me.

once again, goes to show => don't need top-notch equipment to take good shots.

it's the person behind the camera that counts. :D

in terms of add on lens

macro lens = high quality low distortion lens for focusing nearer to the subject, thus bigger magnification. Normally macro lens is made up of more than 1 element so as to reduce distortion, they normally cost more, some wide angle lens can be used as a macro lens too

closeup filters = lower quality single element filters which will cause slight distortion such as CA (aka colour fringing) at the edge of the picture, since i'm using a70 the tread size is 52mm and the lens is very small so there is very little distortion something like stepping up. the more closeup filters you stack the distortion will worsen. closeup filters are much cheaper
 

Nice shot! but this is more on abstract to me. Testing how accurate is your AF? :D
