Mac CS3 question

Dear Mac folks,

Im on CS3 in Windows XP previously. When I move a picture(layer) to on top of another open picture (layer), I can press keyboard shift key and movement of mouse to lock the alignment.

In Mac CS3, I use the same method but it does not lock the alignment. I have to painfully move the layer on top of another layer to properly align it before I can work on it. Any advise?

Im on PS CS3 and the shift key works fine for me.

Make sure u press and hold the shift and only release them after it has been moved.

It works on my CS3 on iMac.
