For the upcoming sessions with Jennifer, there will be a mini photo contest, open to all participated members of the 3 sessions. Contestants can submit up to 3 pics for the contest, and there will not be a particular category of photo type, other than the most important element(The Model) must be in the picture. Picture will be judged based on 3 general areas:

1) Asethetic value: 60%
Can be described as how the picture appeals to the senses(actually only one sense), how it can make someone notice it and take a 2nd or longer look, in a good way..

2) Post Processing: 30%
With the proliferation of digital cameras, one will have to know more than just taking pictures to get a good image, and therefore a must for contestants to do well in this area. Not fanciful digital manipulations, just basic knowledge to apply to help a good picture become great.

3) Technical input: 10%
How the photographer applies a difficult or complicated technique to achieve something ordinary folks cant or never thought possible. Still, its not about doing it just for the sake of doing, it must compliment the story, the model, the various aspects in the picture, so to make the image beautiful.

Hope this is a good way to help participants think a little more when pressing the shutter, and improve themselves along the way!

And the least important thing: a free session for the winner in his next participation! :vhappy: :vhappy:

There will also be a "Most Improved" photographer award, based on his 3 participations in 3 months, to be held in end March. Prize will be a free session too, just a small token of his effort. So I guess everyone can work for something!!
