having an issue here.. basically LR usage questions.
I shot raw so jpeg settings will not be applied to the photos, image is expected to look towards the flatter tone.

In LR, after I imported in, LR seems to always auto adjust the image tone whenever I click on the thumbnail to load the preview. My gf came and help me do a quick look, the pic turned redder after LR adjustment.

I'm using LR3. I have checked my setting, unchecking the auto adjust tone as well as selecting none for all pics while importing...

is there something I'm missing?

also, when I applied auto WB in D90, shot with flash, in LR, most tones look yellowish. I have to changed from *As per shot* to *auto* or *according to the situation I felt the tone is best*..

any advise?

I always had issues with Adobe's Camera Raw interpretation of NEF data, especially when I shoot IR... But I never did find a solution - so use NX2 instead.

Good luck in finding some solution...

I have exactly the same behaviour with Canon and .CR2 and .DNG. Google turned up with two results where I suggest further reading.
LR3 has a preview function using the jpg file embedded into RAW file. Upon import LR creates its own preview images from the RAW data, ignoring the embedded jpg. This creation is done based on some internal presets and camera profiles within LR.

Btw: for LR there is a dedicated forum with hundreds of useful discussions and answers. Some people there are very close to Adobe's developer team.
