loose lens

i have a tokina 28-105 and the zoom is rather loose if i let it hang down it would zoom out on its own. is there anything can i do?? :dunno:

Thats zoom creeping.
You can check with the company if they can make some dampening adjustments.

* Else u can always improvise with tapes or rubber bands to control the creeping

oo how do i use rubber bands? dont get how can it be done haha

You can try find a thick rubber band ( beach road will have plenty of those ) and throw around the zoom ring with the barrel to prevent the focus creep.

Not very elegant or convenient but simple cheap solution
Servicing might cost abit more.
