Hi,
I got my got my pictures printed from the lab. The photos were all dark compared to what I saw on my own calibrated screen. My questions to you is do you know if any labs in Singapore will gladly give you their printing machine ICC profile?

I know Digipro Imaging at Blk 58 Marine Terrace does but is not convenient for me location wise.

Follow the instructions in drycreek (the link you posted) and they will create a profile for your lab. Most labs in SG doesn't use profiles.

Not necessary, can even make things worse if you don't do it properly. Most of the time I don't bother.

Well, go to your local frontier shop and do the profiles and send to drycreek.

It takes abt 2 weeks. In fact, I did it for DigiPro because I stay so close to them. 5 min walk.

I would suggest u do your own set from your lab. It is free at drycreek except for the postage cost.

As for testing the profiles, I will be sending approx 100 pics to the lab this weekend. Will update this thread later.

hmm any1's done the profile for colorlab?
the target file is in tiff format but colorlab only accepts jpegs.
actually they can still work with tiffs but they'll charge u extra for that.

Profiles work well. Colour is approx 95% vis-a-vis my manually calibrated monitor. (100% is NOT POSSIBLE because Frontier color gamut is smaller than even SRGB, a fact few pple know)

Color Workflow :
(a) Assign SRGB
(b) Edit/Correction in SRGB
(c) Convert to Frontier Profile at DigiPro.

Hi,
But if the lab doesnt do calibration daily, will it be consistant still?

I believe the SOP for all minilabs is to do calibration in the morning as part of startup or at least during servicing for some of the less on the ball labs.

Print a few batches of prints and it should show up. (must use same pic lah!)

Thanks Java guru.. you are Da guru man..
