REDKNAPP WANTS YOSSI
Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp has admitted that Liverpool winger Yossi Benayoun is a target.
The Israeli only moved to Anfield last summer but could find himself surplus to requirements as Liverpool are continually linked with wingers like James Milner, David Bentley and David Silva.
Manchester City are also said to be interested in the winger as they have a lack of options on the right flank.
Pompey did have a problem in that area last season - with John Utaka the only real option - and signed Glenn Little last week on a year-long contract. But Redknapp is still searching for a proven performer on the wing.
"Of course I'd like to have someone like Yossi Benayoun," Redknapp told The News.
"He's a top player. I don't know what the chances are of getting him out of Liverpool.
"It's known I like Crouchie, too. But it doesn't look like anything is happening there. I think Liverpool want a bit too much money for him.
"If that's the case then we'll move on to the next option."
