what? paid 10 months in advance?

Well the place got big & small stuff. fair spread of stuff to see & shoot. unlike some dive sites, either all big or all small stuff. or just wall or drift dives. if you are lucky, then all big stuff went hibernation, or shoot-bird eye, all small stuff cannot see. if you are both lucky, then stay home to watch Discovery Channel. :dunno:

yah. 1 type (the red one) was at Bunaken and the yellow type was at lembeh. I only went to lembeh for 1 day trip (2 dives).

Yes, only shot slides and sent for processing already....then have to scan still... be patient (i'm telling myself that).

well, there are a few places u can see them. I have heard that they can be sighted at Mabul, Papua New Guinea, Puerto Galera, Anilao, Biak, Komodo, Raja Ampat, etc.....

seems like they are not so rare afterall.

There are basically two common type of PSH....namely the Hippocampus bargibanti and the Hippocampus Dennis. And the not so common one is the Hippocampus "Pontohi".

You can find various color for each species.

Yup. We spotted Hippocampus Denise at Bunaken (Red) & Hippocampus Bargibanti at Lembeh (Yellowish-Orange).

I hear that the rare 'Pontohi' has been spotted regularly at Raja Ampat.
