hello.. lenses decision time.

my plan is get the following:

17-35
28-70
70-200

Which brand for each range should i get? Must be budget! best is all 3 add up to ard 1k.

aperture size try try to have constant 2.8 for all except 17-35. reason being i'm very used to using f2.8 - f4..

Btw, Nikon system.

louispang is right. Cant get those lenses at below 1K, even second hand also difficult.
Just to give you a price idea:

Sigma 17-35mm F2.8-4, HSM EX about S$850
Tokina 28-70 mm F2.8 was offer at S$468 somethime ago
70-200 mm F2.8 Sigma above 1K, Nikon VR F2.8 about 3K retail.

Rgds,

Sigma 17-35 EX (non HSM 82mm model) $300 2nd hand price in CS
Tokina 28-70 ATX Pro $330 2nd hand price in CS
Tokina 80-200 ATX (Red ring version) $350 2nd hand price in CS

Just nice, under 1K.

Rather he use the money to buy a Tokina 19-35mm (77mm filter) and that way, he can saves some money to buy 77mm filters for all the lenses since all are 77mm ;)

Hi behyx, if you are talking about Canon, any one of the above 3 mentioned lens could easily hit 1k. You might need to add in more $Mojo, unless as 3rd party lens as stated by the rest of CSers :)

On your budget, I suggest buying primes. Good zoom lens are expensive. Good primes are more reasonably priced.

Thanks guys!

i'm in fact looking for 2nd hand, 3rd party lenses. couldn't afford 1st hand.
