lens for fashion shoot

I have tried the 2.8 version before, and it is really very heavy.
The fashion runway shoot is just part of some stuffs that I wanna do, and primarily I will prefer a lighter lens as I do like to bring it along for overseas holidays.

I think it is down to 70-200 f/4 IS or non-IS in the end.
The IS version is several hundreds more, and I am trying to convince myself it is worth the $...;p

Oh yes definitely with the IS, its good. it gives you sharper photos unless you gonna use tripod most of the time or you gonna up your shutter speed to 1/200.
And i heard some ppl also mentioned F4 IS optics is better out of the 4. Most of the batches are quite new. I got mine with code UX05 = Manufactured May 2009.
Its really worth it and enable you to go 3 stop down with IS function.
