Dear bros, supposedly I were to get the D7000 body what lens would you guys recommend apart from the 50mm. probably a everyday zoom lens coz I really dont like the kit lens.

I too agree, the 18-105 is a very good lens. Even, despite the plastic mount, it is durable and will not spoil easily. You wont be able to tell the difference between the plastic mount to the metal mount. .

imo whatever lens you upgrade you can keep the 18-105. no other way you can get such a versatile lens for $300. try it out for a few weeks then decide which range suits you better
