Lens comparison.

how's this lens, http://forums.clubsnap.org/showthread.php?t=160465 , compared to the lens of a 18-70. which would you guys prefer ?

you cant compare them as they have different focal lens. The 18-70 is a general lens for all purposes. The tokina is not as well suited for landscape since it is at 28mm or 42mm for digital. but it does perform better in low lighting with its larger aperture.

Go with the range that would work for you.

If I were u, I'd stick to the 18-70 kit lens (I'm assuming u're referring to the D70 kit lens, right?).

For this price range, 18-70 is hard to beat

The Nikon 18-70 kit lens is a not bad lens for simple walk around. But the market pice is abit too high for 2nd hand...
