Can someone explain what are the different lens and filters?
and maybe some sample images of what different lens and filters can produce?

A lens is a piece of glass (or plastic or something like that) which directs light to a certain position. A good example of a lens is your eye glasses (assuming you wear a pair of glasses). Obviously glasses cames in different "strengths" because different eyes have different needs.

Optic lenses such as those used in cameras are similar in that they direct light rays in in such a way to converge them on to the light receiving area which is the film or the chip.

Filters, as the name suggest, are just that - filters. They filter out different kinds of light rays depending on what they are make for. For example, ultra-violet filters are used to filter out UV rays. Red filters filter out blue rays and allow red rays to pass through. But filters do not have light converging abilities.

Thank you for your help Foxtwo :vhappy:
