Hi all,

Time to share again! Was in Lembeh for a whole week last week.

TS... did you see any 'long haired' hairy frogfish. Have not seen one on most thread recently... :think:

I am afraid not...the last time I saw the long haired hairy frogfish was in 2008, the photo below, taken at one of the TK dive sites if I recall correctly.

I've also been told that there are "no more" Rhinopias in Lembeh, which is friggin' depressing.

For the last shot, I was shooting the yellow ribbon eel in it's hole when a sea snake appeared. It must have scared the ribbon eel silly coz it exited it's hole and just like a fluttering ribbon, swam away for dear life.

Thats what I'm worrying about.... no one seems to have seen a full Haired, Hairy Frogfish for quite awhile.... I still see Rhinopias as late as Aug 2009.... but it is really depressing if no more is found. I'm still hoping that it is a Seasonal thing.... and that they will return once the water cool further later in the year.... :think:
