Leica Food Photography Workshop

World Gourmet Summit has the privilege of inviting Wayne Umehara, an internationally renowned food photographer. Born in Japan and raised in Los Angeles, Wayne received Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in photography from the Art Center of Design in Pasedena, USA. Wayne’s interest in food photography was piqued after attending classes in the Art Center taught by photographers who worked for Bon Appetit magazine. He has done numerous assignments on lifestyle, fashion and still life (with an emphasis on food) for major advertising agencies and design firms. He has photographed food for menus used by Singapore Airlines, in-flight magazines of Cathay Pacific and Gulf Air and even restaurants in Holiday Inn and M Hotel.

In addition to his lecturing part-time at Nanyang Technological University, he continues to shoot a wide array of work assignments and travel globally for his personal photograph collection.

Join Wayne in this workshop as he unravels the secrets and techniques of producing a perfect food shot, besides sharing some useful tips on food photography.

Date: 28 April 2011
Time: 2.00pm to 4.00pm
Venue: Singapore Tourism Board, Auditorium
