[LeGo] Travels to Cambodia

Hi everyone! I don't post on clubsnap often because I don't take many pictures. Many of you haven't heard from me before

However, I was recently given the wonderful opportunity to visit a little village on the outskirts of Prey Veng Province in Cambodia with a few friends from NUS I'm absolutely delighted to be able to share some pictures of the locals (mostly kids actually :bsmilie: they're the most approachable!) with you guys. More to come over the next few days!

And please do leave your comments or criticisms here I would love to hear from you guys!

On the way to the village in a minivan, we stopped briefly at an intersection and this boy was sitting on a huge ass tire on a pony wagon!
He just stared at me blankly as I took the picture.​

Reached the village! Quiet little place called Prey Onguin (You won't be able to find it on google :bsmilie
This little girl was there to greet us and I happily took a photo ​

This is us attempting to communicate with them in Khmer.

What struck me was the boy's blonde hair! I was told that
it's due to a deficiency of certain vitamins. :cry:​

I was about to take the shot when the boy in red jumped infront of the camera :bsmilie:
I think it would have made a better photograph without him though ;p​

There's no electricity in the village so we bought a couple fans to make life
slightly more comfortable for us ;p​

The children love being carried! :bsmilie: They're really attention seeking Might be because it's not really part of their culture
for their parents to 'bother' too much about their children.​

Hi, I was there last Dec (2010) for 10 days. I went to Tahkmau village to help out at an education center. Took some pictures too, but haven't put on CS.

everyday to do our grocery shopping ​
