I took this photo a few weeks ago, I would really like to hear your thoughts on it. Thanks.

just a new bird so take my words with a big tablespoon of salt.
I think it's too tightly crop. The mom (i presume) seems a bit out of focus. If possible try to capture eyes maybe like a side view with the eyes looking at the book. Might want to do some photoshop and make it a bit more like soft focus.
despite whatever i say, eventually family pictures are only good if they mean something to you. If it reminds you of happy times with the family, it's a good picture. (i am presuming that you're related)

Thanks a lot for your comments. Exactly the type of comments I was looking for. I am trying to learn and obviously getting comments like yours is the best way to get better. After all, mankind has achieved progress mainly because we can communicate.
