A message conveying to m43 Olympus users from Olympus Singapore:
Photography enthusiasts constantly seek inspiration from fellow shutterbugs to better their techniques or seek advice, often creating communities of their own. Olympus today launches Olympusphere, the company’s first digital photo community in Singapore which facilitates the interaction between likeminded photography enthusiasts.
Upon registration, Olympusphere creates an entire ecosystem for each Olympus user to take their passion to the next level and get rewarded at the same time. Starting from 22 December 2014, Olympusphere users will be able to exchange information and upload their works, building a network of photographers from all over the world to interact with via olympusphere.com. Members can also look forward to exclusive access to competitions designed to hone one’s photography skills and stand a chance to win Olympus prizes.
“As photographers ourselves, we understand that fellow photographers desire a space where they can freely share their photographs, seek inspiration and advice and interact with likeminded enthusiasts. Through Olympusphere, Olympus users are not only able to do that, but also directly benefit from their interactions,” shared Mr. Jimmy Loh, General Manager, Olympus Imaging Singapore Pte Ltd. Members can kickstart their Olympusphere journey and get a chance to showcase their works in a photography exhibition with Olympushere’s first photo contest, “What Singapore means to you?”. Held in conjunction with the launch of the digital photo community, the contest encourages photographic inspiration among local shutterbugs, both professional and enthusiast alike, and seeks to discover stories of Singapore through the eyes of the people. The top 50 photos with the most likes will be displayed over a period of 6 months in an islandwide exhibition organised by Olympus, in partnership with the National Library Board. Top 10 winners will receive attractive Olympus products. Contest ends 31 January 2015.
