it's the return of the 50 1.4 AI'D, wide open
now that i've started working, i realize how little time there is to shoot.. and i've sorted out my thoughts as a hobbyist... i don't need the trinity... i'd rather go with light inexpensive primes.. if i need to go on wedding assignments as a favour, I'll rent and make sure the rental is paid for
thinking of 20mm 2.8 D and the 180mm 2.8 D... full frame is not a necessity.. its a want... and i could wait for the true d700 successor.
here's to shooting more, buying less :bsmilie:

dug up an old photo which I have been thinking about in light of my difficult situation now.
spent the time to do some ekphrastic poetry.
Hold me till the fight is over
then hold me with your eyes,
never let me go alone
when I can't tell my home,
through the smoke and
over waters set me
on your bridge,
that I may leave my
guarded fortress to
find peace in this reach.

another nice evening sky from vivo rooftop. shot handheld f4, 1/20 if i recall correctly.
which reminds me that one day i need to learn how to use a tripod and learn how to do pano and learn how to bracket etc etc.
so much to learn... also reminds me that i have not made progress on learning how to strobe this year too.
the only thing I'll get to practice more... is a few more weddings this year... maybe a couple shoot for friends.
