I am going to Korea + Jeju coming Nov. Going to bring:

D90 + Kit lens 18mm-105mm (with 1 spare battery)
SB600 with (3 packs of AA recharger batteries)
wide angle len - Yet to define...
Monopod Necessary??

Monopod useless. Bring a tripod if you want to do long exposure, shoot sunrises, sunsets and night scenes.

3 packs of aa rechargable batt?
jus bring the charger along n i think 2 pack more than enough

based on my previous experience when i went there, ur 18-105 should b wide enough...
i would suggest a prime len for close-up...

monopod no need, but tripod better

i don't think you will be shooting few thousand shots per day right? if not, you don't have to bring so many batteries, just bring along your charger so that you can charge every nite before you go out the next day..

tripod will defintely be a better choice..

well...
he's going in Nov, it's winter there or at least it's getting cold.

batts tend to go out of juice faster...i dunno his shootin style...

but heck, he's using sb600,...which isn't a power-sucker

get a wide angle for landscape. :p
for SB600. i suppose u dun need tat much AA batteries unless u shoot wit flash a lot.
i brought my SB900 with only 1 set of AA batteries precharge.. only use on some night shoot potraits..less than 100 i suppose.
didnt recharge the AA batteries during the trip at all.

hmm.maybe add a 50mm :p
or a tripod if possible...but if too cumbersome or u r going wit tour. can forget bout it.
