Anyone can advise where i can buy this in Singapore? Thanks in advance

U can get it from ebay

I bought mine at Funan. Not cheap for a hood.

Can share which shop was it bought from in Funan and the price? Try asking around the usual shops and all not selling.

Also checked around the usual stores, but don't think any shops bring in this due to the higher cost.

Amazon selling for around US$60, so with some profit margin built in, it will be near to $100. Not many people will pay this price for a compatible set?

This hood is screw on type and adds bulk... Not nice IMO.

Jjc makes a specialised hood like the original for rx1 which has recessed mounting.

If you are ordering from overseas, you can also check the latest compatible one with this brand: Fotodiox

They also sell a nice handgrip for RX1.

Just Ordered a copy from ebay for slightly less than sgd70, inclusive shipping cost:)

That's nice. Did you get the handgrip or a nice leather halfcase with built-in grip?

RX1 feels very slippery without any protection, especially that it is front heavy due to the nice Zeiss lens. Have seen a friend's set with bottom corner scratched.....

Can anyone enlighten me RX1 the lens hood was exactly how many mm and do you need to use a bigger lens cap when it's attached?

If you are using the original lens hood, then no need to use bigger lens cap as original lens cap will fit nicely.

If you are asking about compatible brands, it will depends on which one you bought.

Reason why I ask cause I don't own a RX1 but RX100M2 but mine was attached with 52mm adapter so I been trying to find out how many mm was it which JJC website also never indicate.

Guess I had found the answer, it's 49mm base on the filter size from Sony for RX1.

Actually, if you are using screw on type from JJC, it is no longer 49mm for the filter to fit the hood.

JJC hood is bayonet type like the original. Artworkfoto at funan selling for $75. Can get cheaper if your bargaining skill is good.

Screw on type will need a bigger lens cap.

Can't remember. You can check it out at either Artworkfoto or sgcamerastore to see if they still carry this.

If you dont have a RX1, why would you need to know? Getting one soon?

You probably would want to get the new JJC hood that is very similar in shape and function as the original, as mentioned by the posting before this.

So you know the size of it?

Yup, the grip is bad for the weight of the cam, probably due to the lens. I was hoping to find a nice leather case which can offer a good grip with some protection for the body but yet to see any. This is the best i can find so far but it's out of stock till end sep.

Also contemplating on the RRS grip until i saw the really similar looking one selling for a fraction of the price:)

Looks cool. Maybe you should try it and write a review for us?

Price for the grip is good, but not sure whether it will scratch the surface of the RX1? The RRS one is made with precision but a little too heavy.
