That's cos it's new. Look at how crappy the science faculty buildings are.

land in that area is scarce lah..
they've already reclaimed parking lots and stuffed as many buildings within throwing distance of each other as they can together..
its a microcosm of of the national problem..

would u like to propose sacrificing the sports field for another bldg so that they can incrementally raze the 5(?) storeys for some skyscrapers?

The sports field is actually also a designated helicopter landing site for the neighbouring NUH so I guess is there to stay for an indefinite period of time.

dunno abt any special requirements for helipads, but if its like the movies, would think that the football field is large eno, so they can take away the section they always use for cricket..
