Hi guys, just want to clarify. Does Tamron SP AF28-75/2.8 XR Di LD Aspherical (IF) Macro (Canon mount) goes well with Canon 500D, in terms of the CMOS image sensor size?

seems like it's meant for full-frame cameras, so there should be no issue with a 500D.
To me, 28-75 is not such a useful zoom range for a crop-factor camera. Your widest FOV is 45mm in 35mm terms.
So it'll behave like a normal-telephoto zoom lens...
17-50 is a much more useable range for a 500D.

Yes, it will work with the 500D.
