As above is the question... I am nt very sure abt this coz i wanna submit this pic for competition...

Thanks for answering for those who know... =P

I don't think this falls under nature.

Really depends on how you want to interpret... Themes are usually a little flexible so they'll prob. accept it.

But seriously if u wanna enter a competition, choose another pic. The standards in Singapore are relatively high (ok art is subjective and some may disagree and say judges are !@#$).

But there's nothing really striking about the image... plain jane. Singapore has some very gd nature photogs so you'll need to do much better to get noticed, even if its an amateur com.

It should be acceptable as a Nature picture. Crop out the bushy foilage below and it might even go so far to become 'Abstract'.

Though I'm not in the position to comment, I have to agree with Solarii that a good picture should portray a clear meaning and subject (theme) and you should choose the best subject matter (in this case, the tree branches) to convey that message. For example, think, "What do I want this picture to say to the audience? How can I make a silent picture speak loudly in words through its content? Do I need more colour, more shape, line, form, patterns, shadows or more effective lighting?

can try, but i feel it is more of landscape..hey, I stay at Yew Tee also...:)

what's nature v.s. landscape?

wide view = landscape?
close up of animals and plants = nature?
