I have the WT4. It is not that bad, but the battery life can be very short and it runs warm. For the cabling, they even provide the rubber replacement for the USB.

Yes there is. It is the Hahnel HW 433 N80 RF Remote Control for Nikon D700.
Several months ago I bought another Hahnel RF Remote for my Fuji S2 Pro and Olympus E-20 and it works well - up to 26 feet from the camera! I ordered it on the internet and it was shipped from Hong Kong in a matter of days. Was also very reasonable priced.
