is there a techni for fisheye??

ermm using film?? the edges are all black. i'm kind of looking for somthing like the 10.5mm nikon fisheye.

only tokina 10-17 diagonal has similar effect to the nikon 10.5mm
the sigma8mm and peleng are circular fisheye, meaning they would project a circular image with black border on film.

Nope...

Nikon 10.5mm is a diagonal FE for DX format, Sigma 8mm is a circular FE. THe Sigma 15mm is a diagonal FE for 35mm format and will not give 180° FOV of a FE on DX format.

i tried the 15mm sigma and i dont like the view of it not much FE effect. how much would a 10-17 tokina cost??

yea, thats what happens with most "standard" fisheyes on a 1.6/1,5 crop body. the standard lenses i can think of are: the peleng 8mm? the sigma 15mm? the canon 15mm and the other russian one, i think its a 8 or 16mm. the only "fisheye" for crop cameras that i know of is the tokina 10-17 atx pro.

its a cool little lens thats a fisheye for a crop at 10mm and a normal zoom at 17mm, dunno where the transition between fisheye and "normal wide" occurs...

I doubt you will like the peleng, there're sort of big dark vignette on every image. Either you live with it or remove them digitally in PS later.
The tokina would be better, but of course more ex(in the 900 region I think)

=P i gave back to the seller. his a good man. what i can say, it does not give much FE effect on canon 10D.
