Hi, i am using eos 40d, i am looking for other brand lens with adapter to eos. WIll it be possible that i can go into olympus buy and sell forum, buy any lens from there then use adapter to eos and use it on 40d ?

There is an Olympus subforum in CS. A quick look into Wikipedia shows two mount systems: OM for older SLR (film!) and the Four-Thirds mount for all digital cameras. Check with the Olympus guys, they should give most precise answers

Yes it will mount, but you will have to use manual focus and be able to change the aperture of the lenses on the lens itself (aperture ring).
