Instead of worrying about NK, we should worry about...

Really? If he's that powerful, how come he didnt managed to destroy Anwar, much as he wished & however hard he tried, even when he was in power. Even with his support the BN lost many seats in the last election, & possibly because the many younger electorate see thru his brand of politics. He only retain some vestige of power because of the old cronies who are still around.... seriously.

he is more powerful than PM najib. seriously.

He is worried that Anwar would win this election. If Anwar becomes PM, then somebody has to escape to another country.

Fear of retribution? :bsmilie:

dr M had anwar locked up over sodomy charges and practically destroyed most of anwar's power base, to the point that BN did quite well in the 2004 GE. He thought that was it, anwar was finished.
then his successor badawi (a nice gentleman, too nice for politics) had anwar released.

BN did badly in the last GE not because they love anwar, but because they hate BN. Dr m never forgave badawi for releasing anwar, and constantly undermined his authority - to the point badawi was seen as nothing more than a lame duck PM who was warming the seat for najib or dr.m's son, mokhzani. With constant infighting, anwar struck back, painting (accurately) that BN was nothing but a corrupt party.

Now Dr M is saying (or threatening, depending on how u read it) that Najib could be forced out if he doesn't do well in this GE by his DPM Muhiyiddin, a known hardliner.

The terrorists from Philippines Sulu sultanate have ensured a BN win. In times of foreign invasion, people vote for incumbent party.

Nope.
Because of the way the whole saga dragged out (TCSS for 3 weeks b4 firefight, supposed bomb drop miss, revelations of Project IC) there is a feeling that BN is incapable of dealing with foreign threats.

Still BN should win, but barely.

DAP made a mistake to field Lim Kit Siang in Gelang Patah, Johore. This is the miscalculation. Johore is not Penang. Johoreans are not Penangites.

Race appeals less to the Chinese in Johore. Because Johorean Chinese basically care about economy and their own prosperity tied to Singapore. Some work in Singapore. Some benefit when Singaporeans spend in Johore. Some look forward to Singapore investment in Iskandar.

Its a calculated risk and I am really impressed by their strategy....if he stay put....he only win 1 seat for PR but lets say he managed to wrestler from BN in Johore....they are 1 step closer to the 112 seats required. ...even if he lost in Johore....it's still even..... and can be a good excuse for him to retire....

Okay to fly in voters, says EC

This is wrong.

Bad mistake because they will win anyway and they do not need to stoop down to do this.

The lame argument by the EC official to justify that this is acceptable, makes it worse.

and Najib is starting to pour kerosene into the fire?...

"KUALA LUMPUR - Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak has branded the election results on a "Chinese tsunami" and warned that such "polarised" voting trends would be "dangerous" to the country....."
