If I buy a 2nd hand Panasonic/Leica LC1 but never use, how to maintain?

I was aware that the battery needs a run/recharge every month. Else than that
how do I maintain it until the day I leave SG? I guess it will be the only hardware
I will take along when I leave in maybe few months, maybe few years.

How about plastic bag with a food silica gel bag inside? ;p

Prefer to keep it and maintain it until I am 60 years old and become weak and old and can not move and lie in death bed then take out the camera tell neighbour's 5 yr old kid this is the only thing left of me when i was in a distant country for those things I did from my vaguest memory then shoot a picture of him and make it the last thing i see in this world. :think:

Well, maybe my plastic bag + silicongel bag does the trick.
Are there any place selling silicongel bag used for biscuit and food? Don't like to handle gels
from big bottles since it's too troublesome.
